Companies Amendment Act 2014 changes
If your business is a New Zealand-registered company, the Amendment Act requires that they have a director living in New Zealand, or in Australia if a director of an Australian incorporated company, by 28 October.
You'll also need to provide some extra information about directors (for example, date and place of birth), and any ultimate holding company with the next annual return.
To help prepare for this use this quick and easy checklist.
By 28 October 2015 make sure:
• the company has at least one director who:
-lives in New Zealand, or
-lives in Australia and is a director of an Australian incorporated company.
You'll be asked for the Australian company's name, address and Australian Company Number (ACN).
If the company has more than one director living in Australia and they're a director of an Australian incorporated company, each director needs to give details of one Australian
company that they're a director of.
the following details of any ultimate holding company (if applicable):
-name of the ultimate holding company
-its registration number or code (if any)
-its country of registration
-its registered office
